You don’t have to control your thoughts

You just have to stop letting them control you

In a daily life, there are much pressure that might make us tired and stress. Over and over, stress has become a silent companion in life from the moment we open our eyes in the morning, through the day to the end of the day when our minds race to-do lists we couldn’t finish.

Not external disturbs, the internal noise never stops. What if we can let it go?

“You don’t have to control your thoughts, you just have to stop letting them control you”, this single sentence holds a gentle but powerful truth. Out thoughts might not always be always true or helpful, it also rules our emotional world. If we stop let them control us, we can make a step to get out of stress.

Most of our stress doesn’t come from what actually happens, it’s from the way we think about and react to that. Our thoughts create emotional reactions and sometimes, when it is a little bit over, we will be stressful. The magic begins when we realize: we are not our thoughts (especially when our thoughts are following the negative way).

When you start having a stressful thought, you don’t have to fight it, don’t have to believe it, also, don’t have to control it. You can pause all things you’re doing, take a deep breath, and observe it like a passing cloud.

This is a kind of practising awareness – and awareness is the beginning of peace.

As a part of human’s life, stress will come through all things happen daily. Remember, you may not be able to stop every negative or overwhelming thought but you can choose not to let it control you.
